The volume was released at the end of 2014 and contains six chapters, each dealing with the criminal trial(s) of an underground Communist fighter before or during the Second World War:

  • Nicolae Ceauşescu – Cristina Diac, A turn of fate: the trial of Nicolae Ceaușescu
  • Vasile Luca – Liviu Pleşa, Vasile Luca during the underground years
  • Gheorghe Gheorghiu-Dej – Elis Neagoe-Pleşa, Gheorghe Gheorghiu-Dej and the “railworkers’ trial” (1933-1934)
  • Petre Gheorghe – Mihai Burcea, Communist trails during the war: the case of Petre Gheorghe

The volume is available for free at the bookstore of University of Bucharest Publishing House, located in the Faculty of History building (Groundfloor), Reginul B-dul Elisabeta, nr. 4-12, Bucharest.
